If I'm 7 days late with the start of a new pack of birth control pills, can I now start a new pack or wait for my period?

Good morning. Unfortunately, due to the sudden departure I could not start a new pack of tablets, 7 days passed. Can I take 1 tablet or do I have to wait for menstruation to appear?.

You can take the first tablet from the new pack right away. Due to a 7-day delay in taking the first tablet from a new blister, protection may be reduced, therefore an additional form of contraception should be used while taking the blister tablets. Protection will be maintained only in the next cycle. If intercourse occurred during the 7-day delay, there is a risk of pregnancy and you should take a pregnancy test from the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/test-ciazowy-jaki-wybrac-i-kiedy-zrobic
