Withdrawal bleeding is a type of artificially induced menstruation that occurs as a result of a break in the supply of hormones. With a Nuvaring disc, such bleeding will begin during a one-week break in the use of the vaginal therapeutic system. Nuvaring is used in the cycle "three weeks of use, one week of break". The new system should be put on exactly after a week of break (on the same day of the week as usual and at about the same time), even if the bleeding is still ongoing. It should be noted that withdrawal bleeding somehow replaces physiological menstruation. Natural bleeding in the term "from the calendar" will not - or at least should not - already occur.
