Does Nuvaring protect against pregnancy all the time?
The first time I use NUvaring discs, Wednesday at 21 I put on the disc on the first day of bleeding, I pull out after 3 weeks also at 21. Am I protected for these 3 weeks with intercourse ending inside? If I pull out on Wednesday at 9 p.m. and put on after a 7-day break also at 9 p.m., for these 7 days I am protected without using other protection? Of course, if the disc is used correctly.

When used correctly, the Nuvaring disc retains its declared contraceptive properties throughout the period of use and during a seven-day break, provided that the patient starts the next cycle with the drug without delay. The new system should be put on exactly after a week of break (on the same day of the week as usual and at about the same time), even if the bleeding is still ongoing. If the establishment of the new system is delayed by more than 3 hours, its contraceptive effectiveness may be reduced. The decision whether you want to have sex additionally with a condom, which also protects against venereal diseases, is up to you.
