23dc - 6-7 days after intercourse beta HCG result 1.52 (pregnancy from 5) 31 day cycle on average Can a positive result indicate pregnancy? I know that the test was done too early, but if the hormone is detectable, what can this indicate?

The test should still be repeated after about 7 days - if the beta HCG level remains below 5 mIU/ml, pregnancy can be excluded. hCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a hormone that can be present in trace amounts in the blood. This is normal, and a concentration below 5 mIU/ml indicates that fertilization has not occurred and there is no pregnancy.
