No, cosmetics with herbs, such as lotions, shampoos or bath lotions, do not affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive ring or the IUD. The substances contained in cosmetics do not penetrate into the bloodstream, gastrointestinal tract or liver, so their route of administration and action do not overlap with the administration or effect of contraception.
While using contraception, you can apply any cosmetics to your skin.
