Nie, przyjęcie tabletki antykoncepcyjnej w pierwszym dniu miesiączki nie spowoduje zatrzymania krwawienia. Krwawienie może być zmienione - może trwać krócej i być mniej intensywne niż zwykle (lub wręcz odwrotnie - może być bardziej intensywne i trwać dłużej), jednak przyjęcie tabletki nie jest równoznaczne z zahamowaniem miesiączki.
