Antibiotics and the effectiveness of contraception - is it preserved?
If I have taken an antibiotic while taking Belara tablets that weakens their effect and has been prescribed an additional form of contraception until the end of the package, then skipping the 7-day break (due to the planned holiday) and starting another blister I am secured from the 1st day of the new packaging?

In the case of penicillin, there is no clear evidence that it affects the effects of hormonal contraceptives, including Belara. Therefore, the risk of pregnancy in the situation described is low, but it cannot be completely ruled out, especially after intercourse with ejaculation into the vagina.
However, it is recommended to use an additional method of contraception throughout antibiotic therapy to increase safety.
