Nie określono dokładnie, w jakim stopniu zażyciu tabletki ellaOne zmniejsza skuteczność krążka antykoncepcyjnego NuvaRing. Wiadomo jednak, że interakcja pomiędzy octanem uliprystalu zawartych w produkcie leczniczym Ellaone a hormonami uwalnianymi z krążka dopochwowego jest określana jako istotna. Substancja czynna tabletki ellaOne może obniżać ich skuteczność.

Jeśli zastosowanie antykoncepcji awaryjnej zostało zalecone pacjentce stosującej krążek NuvaRing ze względu na nieprawidłowego jego zastosowanie, a tym samym prawdopodobieństwo utraty jego skuteczności, z zastosowaniem kolejnego krążka należy odczekać przez 5 dni. Następnie przez kolejne 7 dni, zanim pełna skuteczność krążka zostanie osiągnięta, należy stosować dodatkową mechaniczną metodę antykoncepcji, np. prezerwatywę.
