Hello, because of PCO and elevated androstedione, I took spironol 50 for 3 months. I took it from April to July 2025. The fertilization took place on October 30, 2025. Could taking this at that time harm the child?

In the described situation, there are no grounds to associate previous treatment with the current pregnancy. Spironol was used for a few months before conception and was no longer taken in or present in the body at the time of conception.
Spironolactone and its metabolites are eliminated from the body within a few days, therefore, with exposure completed in July, there is no "transfer" of the effect to a pregnancy that began in October.
In addition, it should be noted that the potential risk to the fetus applies primarily to situations when the drug is taken during pregnancy, especially in its early stages. In your case, the exposure was completed many weeks earlier, so it does not pose a threat to the child.
If the pregnancy is going well, standard gynecological check-ups are sufficient. In case of doubt, the topic can be discussed during the visit – but from a pharmacological point of view, there are no reasons to be concerned here.
