Fervex contains pheniramine, which has cholinolytic effects and is not indicated in patients suffering from prostatic hyperplasia. The use of Fervex in such cases may intensify the symptoms and make it even more difficult to urinate (soreness, urinary retention). Patients with cardiac and urological ailments (prostatic hyperplasia) and taking antihypertensive drugs should avoid cold and flu preparations such as Gripex, Fervex, Theraflu, Coldrex, etc. A better solution is to use paracetamol alone as an analgesic and antipyretic drug, plus preparations that reduce swelling and nasal congestion in the form of a topical aerosol (e.g. Nasivin, Otrivin, Acatar - the treatment should not exceed 5 days).
