Good morning, I have received a recommendation to change contraceptive pills from Belary to Microgynom 21, after a 7-day break I should start these new pills, will the effectiveness be maintained? And should I additionally protect myself with 1 package? Is this the correct action?

The proposed way to change tablets from Belara to Microgynon is correct and protection will be maintained.

To ensure protection, the interval between the last Belara tablet and the first Microgynon tablet must not be longer than 7 days, the interval may be shorter (but not longer than 7 days). Then protection will be provided at all times.
