Is previous bleeding during the interval between blisters a cause for concern?
14.00 zł

Good morning. I would like to ask if I have problems to worry about. I have been taking birth control pills for 2.5 years, Liberelle always gets her period in the afternoon on the 4th day between blisters. Today is the 3rd day of the break between blisters and to my surprise I got my period. Is this normal? What worries me is that I take these pills for so long and I always got a 4-day break and the first time I got my period in the 3rd day. Is it possible to get pregnant?

There is no need to worry. Such slight shifts in the time of withdrawal bleeding are normal, even with long-term use of birth control pills. The effectiveness of contraception is maintained as long as the pills are taken regularly. The probability of pregnancy in this situation is negligible.
