Hello!
I have been bleeding for 20 days now when taking Slinda. My doctor says wait, you can bleed for up to 3 months until the body adjusts.
Tablets for bleeding have not helped either. Can another pill stop the bleeding? In the meantime, I'm always tired, I've had abdominal pain for a week and I'm just annoyed and frustrated.
What helps me now? And why do so many women have the same problem?

Irregular bleeding and spotting are an inconvenience throughout the entire period of treatment with Slinda. Bleeding may also not occur at all. Usually, the greatest severity of side effects (such as abdominal pain) concerns the first few months of using the drug. This is usually the first 3-6 months of using a contraceptive drug. Perhaps with continued proper use of the drug, the bleeding will stop. The occurrence of irregular spotting and bleeding is related to the type of pill used - i.e. the mini-pill. You can read more about contraception in our article:

If the bleeding does not stop and additional symptoms such as fatigue have been added, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. Prolonged bleeding can cause anaemia, for example. If necessary, you can use a teleconsultation via e.g. the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

I also encourage you to report adverse drug reactions. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:
