What blocked my daughter's menstruation if she is taking Slinda and is now losing weight?

Good morning I'm the dad, my 17 year old daughter has been taking Slinda for almost 2 years which has blocked her period.
It is possible that she is now starting to lose weight because she now has a very slender body and one size smaller at her breasts. Thank you Arturo

I understand that you are concerned about the changes in your daughter's health.

Slinda, being a hormonal contraceptive, can affect the menstrual cycle and lead to a missed period. This may be normal for some people using hormonal contraception. However, it's always a good idea to consult a gynecologist or specialist doctor to make sure everything is in order. If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

Drastic weight loss, especially at such a young age, can lead to health problems, including eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia. Weight loss can also affect hormonal processes in the body, which can result in missed periods (amenorrhea).

It is important to talk openly with your daughter about your concerns. Approach the topic with empathy and understanding. Ask how she feels and if she has any difficulties she would like to share. Try to avoid judging or pressure. Your goal is to understand her perspective and offer support.

If you have noticed that your daughter has an unhealthy attitude towards food, exercise or her body, it is worth seeking help from a specialist. A psychologist or therapist who specializes in eating disorders can be very helpful. If you have concerns about her physical health, consult your pediatrician or family doctor, who can provide appropriate care and support.

Please remember that your support and care are of great importance.
