Good morning, I'm 7 days before my expected period. I did beta hcg because my lower abdomen has been hurting for a few days and my breasts are swollen. Ovulation was 8 days ago. The beta score was 0.2. Can I rule out pregnancy or did I take the test too early and should I repeat it?

The result of the beta hCG test is reliable about 8-10 days after fertilization, so the test may have been performed a little too early. The described symptoms - pain in the lower abdomen and breasts may herald the approaching menstruation (hormonal changes may cause, for example, the impression of swelling of the breasts). If there is no bleeding on the day of your expected period, the test should be repeated. A high-sensitivity pregnancy test available at the pharmacy (urine test) can also be performed - the result should be reliable just a few days after conception.
