Good morning. What should I do if I have inserted a vaginal ring a week before my period was due to occur? I was confused by the bleeding that occurred a few days before, but it was very short, max 2 days. I didn't remove the disc that I still wear and that's where my question comes from... Should I remove the disc and wait for it to bleed and put on a new one from the beginning of the cycle or leave the one I put on earlier? I'd be grateful for any response

Do not remove the disc if you did not remove it immediately after applying it by mistake. The disc should remain in the vagina for another 3 weeks and should be removed on the same day of the week on which it was placed (about a similar time). After a 7-day break for withdrawal bleeding, another system should be put on.
When using hormonal contraception, the secretion of hormones (hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis) responsible m.in for the maturation of the ovarian follicle and ovulation is inhibited. Full effect is achieved 7 days after uninterrupted use of the drug. Although the manufacturer of the preparation does not present a solution to the situation in which a woman starts using contraception in the middle of the cycle, it can be assumed that after 7 days the body will "switch" to the new mode. During this period, it is necessary to use additional protection during intercourse (condom).
