Hello
2 years ago I started using the contraceptive pill Atywia and stopped taking it for a year. I resumed taking them this month. I took my first pill on the first day of my period. Period has passed and I'm still staining. It is the sixth day of taking the pills.
When I started taking Atywie 2 years ago, I didn't notice any spotting in the first days of taking it. What's going on? What could be the cause?

Initiation of hormonal contraception, e.g. through the use of Atyvia tablets, may be associated with irregular spotting and bleeding. Irregular spotting and bleeding may occur during the so-called adaptation period, i.e. the first few months (usually 3-6 months). The spotting should go away on its own.
The presence of spotting does not affect the effectiveness of the medicine.
If spotting or bleeding is bothersome (e.g. intensive, long-lasting), it is recommended to consult a doctor. You can also take advantage of teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

You can report spotting as one of the side effects of the medicine. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over the medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:

I am attaching a link that allows you to check the availability of Atywia and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice:
