Was the contraceptive protection of Vines maintained if I had taken the antibiotic Zinnat the week before?
24.99 zł

Hello, I have a question. I'm taking Vines tablets, last week on Wednesday I finished taking the antibiotic Zinnat which I took with a one-day break. Today at about 9:35 p.m. we had intercourse, there was no ejaculation inside but on the stomach. The question is, was the protection maintained? If there is an interval of one week since you stopped taking this antibiotic? I'm also not sure if I finished taking it on Wednesday or Thursday. Thank you in advance for your reply

To @Suzan:

Dulcobis itself does not affect the effectiveness of contraception. Rutinoscorbin and vitamin D3 - also do not affect.

If diarrhoea or vomiting occurs within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet, only then could the protection be reduced.

Taking Dulcobis, even with the contraceptive pill, does not affect the effectiveness of contraception. Protection is assured.

And do they affect protection when taken at the same time? Does Dulcobis interfere with the absorption of contraception?

To @Suzan:

Diarrhoea 10 hours after taking the contraceptive pill does not affect its effectiveness.

To @Anonim:

Debretin, Rutinoscorbin and Vitamin D3 also used irregularly do not affect Vines.

I encourage you to keep a 4-hour interval between taking Vines and Debretin.

If I took dulcobis and contraception immediately afterwards, but the diarrhea occurred only after 10 hours, is the contraceptive effect preserved?

Anonim  (Anonymous, 89.64.71.) 4 months ago

I'm sorry, I still have a question, if I take the pills that I have written below irregularly, can it affect the contraceptive pill?
I mean, one day I may not take it, then I will take it, again a few days I may not take it, etc. Thanks in advance for your help

I don't think there's a need for that.

Okay, thank you for your time, so the intercourse was secured? Do you think there is no need to take any pills after sex?

The likelihood of such an interaction occurring is low.

I understand, if the break was smaller, it could weaken the pills and have an effect on yesterday's intercourse?

It is impossible to predict it 100%. In my opinion, there is no cause for concern, because the risk of weakened performance is very small.

Due to its stimulating effect on gastrointestinal motility, Debretin could potentially affect the absorption of hormones from the tablet, so it is recommended to keep an interval of about 4 hours as a precaution. This interaction has not yet been confirmed by studies.

Anonim  (Anonymous, 89.64.71.) 4 months ago

So the pills worked properly after this 6/7 day break?

If the interval between debretin and the tablets is less than 4 hours, can the tablets be weakened?

The available studies do not allow to fully determine the effect of the antibiotic on the effectiveness of contraception (it is not certain whether, for how long and whether the antibiotic has an effect on the effectiveness in every case), so it is recommended to use additional protection for 7 days after the end of the treatment, just in case.

Vitamin D3, Rutinoscorbin do not affect the effect of the contraceptive pill Vines. I recommend that you keep a time interval (about 4 hours) between the use of Debretin and the contraceptive pill.

We have written about the ingredients that affect the effectiveness of contraception here:

Thank you, I still have a question. How long does it take for the tablets to return to full effect after taking the Zinnat antibiotic?

And every morning I take a tablet of VIT D3 2000, Rutinoscorbin and Debretin. Do they affect Vines pills?

The likelihood that the protection would be weakened after 6 days is very small.

Anonim  (Anonymous, 89.64.71.) 4 months ago

What if it's been 6 days? So, was the protection maintained?

Klaudia Ćwiąkała Pharmacist, Editor

Contraceptive protection was maintained. The contraceptive effect of the pill may potentially be reduced for up to 7 days after the end of treatment. In addition, there was no vaginal ejaculation, so the likelihood of conception is low.
