Are there contraindications to the use of combined contraception after removal of the gallbladder?

Good morning, in July 2023 I had AP caused by stones in my gallbladder. In December 2023, my pouch was removed laparoscopically. So, can I go back to hormonal contraception (I was taking Yasmin) or are there any contraindications to the use of combined contraception in my case?

After removal of the gallbladder, there are no contraindications to return to hormonal contraception, Yasmin or other pills.

However, before starting hormone therapy, it is advisable to consult your doctor to get exact instructions on contraception in your case. If you do not have the opportunity to take advantage of the advice, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation:
