Can I put NuvaRing in the fridge after 1.5 weeks of storage outside the fridge to extend its shelf life?
I use NuvaRing vaginal rings. I know that the drug after buying in the pharmacy can be stored outside the refrigerator for 4 months. Soon, however, I am leaving for over half a year to the other end of the world. For the first week of the trip I will be traveling, without access to the fridge. However, I wanted to take a supply with me for the whole 6 months. If after buying the drug, I store it outside the refrigerator for about 1.5 weeks, and then put it back in the refrigerator, will the drug again be valid lying in the refrigerator for more than 4 months? Do these 1.5 weeks outside the refrigerator delete everything and there is no possibility of extending the shelf life again for more than 4 months? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Once the NuvaRing has been removed from the refrigerator, do not put it back in the refrigerator. The shelf life is 4 months after removal from the refrigerator. In addition, according to the leaflet, the disc should not be used after 4 months from the date of dispensing it from the pharmacy. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, the patient should store the drug outside the refrigerator after purchasing it.
If you want to stock up on a 6-month supply of rings, I encourage you to buy one of the NuvaRing equivalents. Pharmacies have equivalents that do not need to be refrigerated.
