When should I start a new pack of birth control pills if I took the last pill on Thursday?

Hello. If I took the last contraceptive pill on Thursday, should I take another one on Friday? I have 21 tablets + 7 days break. And if I use pills correctly and additionally use condoms, can I be sure that I will not get pregnant?

If you took the last contraceptive pill on Thursday, you should take the next one on Friday, regardless of which week of the cycle it is. It is important that you continue to take the pills according to the instructions in the package, even if you use condoms. If you use birth control pills correctly and additionally use condoms, the chances of getting pregnant are significantly reduced. When used correctly, hormonal contraception (pills) is an effective contraceptive, and the additional use of condoms can further increase safety. However, no contraceptive is 100% effective.
