Hello. I tested progesterone on the 21st day of the cycle (31 July)35.30, ovulation test positive 24.07. On the 23rd day of the cycle (2 August) I did a beta HCG test and it came out 2.3. I repeated the test on August 5 and the beta is 3.64. I'm supposed to have my period in two days. Is the result reliable and means no pregnancy?

It all depends on the reference values of the laboratory. As a rule, according to the standards of most laboratories, the result of the pregnancy test is positive when the concentration of the hormone beta hCG exceeds 5 mIU / ml. In your case, this value was 2.3 and 3.64 respectively, which suggests that you are not pregnant. Please observe your body and in case the bleeding does not come - then consult a specialist. The test results do not show that fertilization has occurred, but ultimately pregnancy or its absence can only be confirmed by a gynecologist.
