Can liver damage occur when using Paracetamol with alcohol?
Good morning, my dad is an alcoholic and recently he had a cold and took paracetamol for fever for about 3 days and I think he could drink with him at the same time, and now I read that you can not, could the liver be damaged? Would there be symptoms? Thank you and best regards

Do not drink alcohol while taking Paracetamol because of the possibility of liver damage. The symptoms of liver damage may depend, m.in, on whether the father abuses alcohol for a long time. Signs of liver damage include, m.in, nausea and vomiting, yellowing of the skin, itching of the skin, discolouration of stool, epigastric pain, lack of appetite. If you suspect that your dad consumed alcohol including paracetamol, I encourage you to consult a doctor. Your doctor may recommend diagnostic tests, such as liver function.
