The use of a salt scrub, even on the buttocks and high on the thighs, does not affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive ring (e.g. NuvaRing) or hormonal IUD (e.g. Mirena or Kyleena).

Hormones from the disc or IUD work systemically because they are released into the bloodstream and are not dependent on the skin or the site of the peel application. Daily salt peeling, even with additives (e.g. oils or warming substances), does not penetrate the body in a way that could interfere with their functioning.

However, it is worth noting that daily salt scrub can cause irritation, especially if you use it intensively. Avoid contact of the scrub with mucous membranes (e.g. around the vagina), as this may cause discomfort and irritation.
