Can Prestarium and Diuresin SR be used together?

My mother supposedly has hypertension and receives such drugs as prestarium neo diuresin and my question is whether it is advisable because the recommendation is to take a hypertension drug in the morning and her pressure is 100 out of 80 and after taking the pills she gets weak and the pressure drops a lot, it turned out that the heart is enlarged, please answer whether these two drugs do not interfere or maybe you need to stop because the doctor family does not see a problem

To @Kariatyda:

Yes, you can combine Prestarium with Diured, especially if your medication is used as directed by your doctor, but caution should be exercised.

However, there is often a so-called first-dose effect (lowering blood pressure, fainting, dizziness), especially when the dose of a diuretic (here Diured) is too high. Therefore, it is recommended to start therapy with low doses.

The general condition of the body (heart failure, renal vascular hypertension, haemodialysis, high levels of renin and angiotensin, low levels of sodium in the diet, dehydration, diarrhea, vomiting) is conducive to the occurrence of this interaction.

Check your blood pressure regularly and have blood tests as ordered by your doctor. If you experience nausea, headache or dizziness, slow heart rate, fainting, decreased urine or other worrying symptoms, contact your doctor. If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

Prestarium and Diuresin SR are medicines only subject to a prescription and should be used exactly as directed by the doctor. The combined use of drugs enhances the hypotensive effect, which is often used in practice. If you think that the drugs are inappropriately selected, I encourage you to repeat the consultation with your doctor. If you do not trust the attending physician, you can consult a specialist, e.g. through teleadvice offered, m.in. by the Gdziepolek.pl portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-kardiologiem The decision on the possible exclusion of one of the medicines should be made after consultation with the doctor.
