Does the antibiotic Sumamed affect the effectiveness of the Nuvaring contraceptive ring?

Does sumamed affect contraception in Nuvaring? In the break between putting on the next disc I had withdrawal bleeding, I started taking the antibiotic Sumamed for 7 days, in 5 days of taking the antibiotic I put on a new disc. Should I use additional protection in the form of a condom for men for the duration of taking the antibiotic and after antibiotic therapy for the next 7 or 10 days?

Sumamed does not affect the effectiveness of the Nuvaring disc and there is no need for additional protection. Protection is maintained.
