Nasonex and smallpox vaccination The daughter was diagnosed with an overgrown 3rd almond. He was prescribed nasonex nasal steroid for a period of 3 months. During this time, the daughter (3l) is to be vaccinated against chickenpox? In the leaflet I read that when using the drug avoid people infected with measles and smallpox... Can my daughter take a live vaccine in this case?

In both the leaflet and the summary of product characteristics of Nassonex, the warning about contact with a person infected with e.g. smallpox applies to people whose immune system is not functioning properly (e.g. using immunosuppressants). This warning does not apply to healthy people. I enclose a link to check the availability of Nasonex and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/51631/nasonex-aerozol/apteki The final decision on smallpox vaccination should be made after consultation with the attending physician. In case of additional doubts, you can also use the teleadvice offered, m.in. by the Gdziepolek.pl portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-wyslac-dziecko-na-ospa-party https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/kalendarz-szczepien-dla-dzieci-i-niemowlat
