Relanium and Signopam are prescription drugs. When changing one drug to another, you should follow the dosage instructions that were prescribed by your doctor. Relanium is a long-acting drug, the time after which half the dose of diazepam (the active substance Relanium) remains in the body ranges from 20h-50h. It also has active metabolites that prolong the effect of the drug for 2-5 days. Typically, the change from Relanium to Signopam should occur gradually with a strictly defined mode of taking medication, especially because one of the metabolites of diazepam is temazepam - the active substance of Signopam. Therefore, in order to avoid interactions between Relanium and Signopam, a patient switching from one drug to another should obtain dosage information from the doctor and be under his supervision.
