Pain and heavy bleeding when using the contraceptive ring - what to do?

Good morning, something very strange happened to me. He uses the puck for the first time. Taken out after 21 days, after 2 days a terrible migraine and spotting began. The next day terrible stomach pain and bleeding. During the bleeding, I expelled what looked like a large patch of fairly thick skin. Before using the disc, my periods were painless and moderately heavy and there had never been anything like it before. Could it be related to the ring? For safety's sake, I won't continue...

The description presented in the wording of the question is not sufficient to confirm or deny that the described complaints during withdrawal bleeding are directly related to the contraceptive method used. In general, withdrawal bleeding is less abundant than menstrual bleeding. However, the first 3 months of using a given method of contraception are considered to be the so-called adaptation period, in which the body adapts to hormonal changes occurring under the influence of the contraceptive method used. During this period, you are more likely to experience side effects and irregular spotting and bleeding. Continuation of contraceptive use should be consulted with a gynecologist.
