Can bleeding occur when changing birth control pills?

Hello. I recently changed my birth control pill from Atywia Daily to Qlaira. According to the recommendations, I did not take a break only immediately the day after taking the active tablet Atywia on Tuesday, on Wednesday I took the first tablet of Qlaira. Unfortunately, on Friday I got withdrawal bleeding as if I had a break. Is this wrong? Am I still protected? Is this normal and the body needs to normalize?

You have done the right thing, protection against pregnancy remains maintained throughout the period of taking the pills. If you change from single-phase two-component contraceptive pills (e.g. Atywia Daily) to multiphasic contraceptive pills (e.g. Qlaira), you may experience intracyclic bleeding resulting from temporary fluctuations in hormone levels. However, this does not adversely affect the effectiveness of contraception.
