Is it possible to stop using contraception after 3 months?

Hello, I have been using hormonal contraception for 3 months, but I would like to stop it, is it possible to do it calmly after a 7 day break, or do I have to go specifically to the gynecologist? I will add that privately I have to pay a lot of money, so please advise. Can I expect big side effects after such a short use?

You can stop using hormonal contraception after 3 months and you do not need to visit a gynecologist. It should be borne in mind that if you stop using the tablets, protection will no longer be provided. Side effects may appear at any stage of using the tablets. Nevertheless, it is true that the longer you use the pills, the greater the risk of their occurrence. After a 3-month treatment, the risk of important side effects is low.
