Good morning, I am taking hormonal oral contraception (Vibin mini). Unfortunately, in the second week there was a break in the use of oral tablets for more than 2 days (about 54 hours). During these two days there was a relationship. Unfortunately, the period has also now appeared. The tablets are still taken according to the allotted hours and the two portions of the drug were taken immediately after noticing the error. How big is the risk of getting pregnant?

You did the right thing by using the missed tablets immediately and applying the next ones according to the schedule. According to the manufacturer's information, if the correct dosage was used within 7 days before skipping the pill, there is no need to use additional contraceptive products. However, due to the fact that another 2 tablets have been missed, an additional method of contraception should be used for 7 days. The risk of an unplanned pregnancy, of course, is greater in the case of deviations from regular use of contraception. Unfortunately, I am not able to indicate how big. Bleeding may result from a break of 2 days in the use of the drug. If you have doubts about the effectiveness, the best solution is to take a pregnancy test.
