Is there a risk of getting pregnant if I missed the birth control pill?

I have been using birth control pills for 4 years. If I forgot the tablet on the 4th day of taking them and took 2 tablets the next day but on the day I skipped the tablet and the second day before making up the pills I had sex, is there a risk of getting pregnant?

If more than 12 hours have passed since the planned time of taking the contraceptive pill, additional contraception (e.g. in the form of a condom) should be used for 7 consecutive days. If you have not used additional protection, the risk of pregnancy exists, but it all depends on various other factors such as regularity in taking medications (adequate interval, not skipping tablets). No method of contraception gives us 100% effectiveness.
