Can the tablet dissolve in the throat and will it work?

Good morning, I took the Vines contraceptive pill today at 9 without sipping, I did not know if it passed well, so after less than 10 minutes I washed down with water. Then I felt the powder in my throat, cleared it slightly (I'm sick and I have phlegm in my throat) and still drank water, but I still felt the powder, so I chewed on food. I have been taking tablets for a week and a half. Has the tablet dissolved in the throat or will it be effective? Will the pills work if I continue to take it?
