Does discontinuation of Glucophage XR affect the effectiveness of Vibin contraception?
Hello, a few weeks ago I stopped Glucophage XR (3 tablets a day) and stayed with Vibin contraception. Does stopping insulin resistance pills have any effect on the effectiveness of my contraception? Should I now switch to e.g. Vibin mini due to the withdrawal of Glucophage XR?

No, the use or non-use of a medicine with metformin (e.g. Glucophage) should not affect the effectiveness of contraception. The mere fact of discontinuation of Glucophage does not affect the fact that it is necessary to change the contraceptive (unless the doctor thinks otherwise).
