Does bleeding mean that birth control pills don't work for me?

I started taking the tablets on the 5th day of the cycle. On the 19th day I got a period but I chose the pills to the end and took a break. Another package and on the 14th day I got my period. I know that earlier bleeding is normal at the beginning of taking but this bleeding is exactly when I should get my period as I did not take the pills. Does this mean that the pills do not work for me?

I hope that I will be able to help, because I guess that it is about birth control pills, but I do not have information "what" - it would help me to answer the question more accurately. When starting pills on the 5th day of the cycle, remember about an additional contraceptive method for the next 7 days, because then the woman is not protected from pregnancy from the beginning. Even if there is bleeding/spotting, do not stop using the tablets (except for intensifying, heavy bleeding or additional disturbing symptoms), so you have done the right thing. Irregular bleeding and spotting can occur for up to 3-6 months with some contraceptive pills and do not indicate a malfunction of the drug.
