If more than 12 hours have passed since the planned time of taking the pill, the contraceptive effectiveness of Microgynon may be reduced - in this situation, for the next 7 days you should use additional protection during intercourse (e.g. a condom). Subsequent tablets should be taken regularly at fixed times. According to the summary of product characteristics: 'If intercourse has occurred within the previous 7 days, the possibility of pregnancy shall be taken into account. The more doses were missed and the less time has passed since the end of the interruption in the use of tablets, the greater the risk of getting pregnant."
