Does choking on water affect the effectiveness of birth control pills?

Is spitting out what is reflected (water) after taking a contraceptive pill the same as vomiting? Yesterday while drinking water I choked and coughed, whether choking that had 1.5 hours after taking the tablet can affect the protection?

Choking should not affect the effect of the tablet as long as you are sure that you have not vomited the stomach contents with the contained tablet. The described situation shows that you first swallowed the tablet, then drank water - so the tablet got into the esophagus and the drug will work properly. Birth control pills are absorbed for about 3-4 hours, so if vomiting occurs during this time, another tablet should be taken. There is no reason to worry if it was not vomited stomach contents.
