The fast-taken EllaOne tablet is effective in preventing pregnancy in emergency situations, but the effectiveness of the method is not 100%. The action of the drug is to inhibit or postpone ovulation. So is your partner really sure that after a week (and therefore presumably within the physiological term) ovulation occurred? The survival rate of sperm in the genital tract of a woman according to the largest number of sources is 3-5 days. In some you can meet "up to 7 days" and it seems that this is the maximum time. It is difficult to unequivocally answer the question of what is the chance in your individual case. If the EllaOne tablet has triggered the intended effect, then ovulation simply should not occur, and then the life span of the sperm does not matter.
