Good morning. I take Slinda birth control pills. Yesterday I had a one-day diarrhoea. At 21:00 I took another pill. By morning there was peace and I no longer used the toilet. Is protection against pregnancy is behavior. Should I protect myself additionally? Thank you

According to the information in the summary of product characteristics - gastrointestinal discomfort may affect the absorption of the tablet and then the effectiveness may be reduced. Since it is difficult to assess it precisely, I suggest using additional security methods (for 7 days) to be sure.
Thank you for your reply. However, I have expressed myself imprecisely. Diarrhea bothered me all day. At 21:00 I took the pill as planned, after which the diarrhea no longer occurred. My doubts are whether one-day diarrhea before taking the pill could weaken its effect. Thank you in advance for your reply.

It depends on how much time passed between taking the first tablet, the onset of gastrointestinal problems and taking the next tablet. If more than 12 hours have passed between the first tablet and the additional tablet, the effectiveness may be reduced and in this case additional protection should be used for a further 7 days.
