What is the difference between Elin and Qlaira tablets? How do I start using Qlaira after Elin tablets?

Hello! I am 43 years old. I have been taking Elin for 5 years. Treatment was for ovarian cysts. For a year cysts on the breasts. Probably the effect of hormonal drugs. Suggestion to change the medication for Qlaire. Do they have a lower dose of hormones? And will they be better in my case? How do I start a new Qlaira packaging? I'm also wondering about the intrauterine device. Cytology in order. Thank you in advance. Best regards!!

Do @ Klaudia: If you change the combined contraceptive pills you are using, it is recommended that you start using Qlaira immediately after you finish the active pills of the previous medicine. Do not take additional breaks between packages. Other management reduces the contraceptive effectiveness of Qlaira. This means that you were not protected after taking an additional break between the medications you were using.

Hello, Mrs. Gynecologist told me when changing Elin to Qlaire to wait a 7-day break so I did so, was I secured at the time when I started the Qlaira packaging?

The main difference between Elin and Qlaira is the concentration and type of hormones in individual tablets. This may affect, m.in, the risk of side effects. Elin is a single-phase preparation, which means that each active tablet contains the same amount of hormones. The active substances are norgestimat and ethinyl estradiol. Norgestimat has a progestogenic effect. To a small extent, it affects, m.in, carbohydrate metabolism and the coagulation system: Qlaira https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/88837/elin-tabletki/ulotka/170149 is a multiphase preparation. Individual active tablets contain different hormone content, which may cause them to better "mimic" the natural cycle. The active substances of the drug are dienogest and ethinylestradiol. Dienogest inhibits ovulation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/65571/qlaira-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka/146062 If you want to switch from Elin to Qlaira, take your first active tablet immediately after you stop taking the active tablets of Elin. In online and stationary pharmacies, non-hormonal spirals are also available, which do not affect the hormonal balance of a woman: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/wkladki-domaciczne https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/spirale-bezhormonalne I encourage you to consult your doctor, who based on your medical history will propose an appropriate method of contraception.
