Is it possible that the side effects of using birth control pills, such as water retention in the body, occurred only after a year of their use?

I have been taking Vibin mini birth control pills for over a year. At first, I noticed a rather weight loss. After more than half a year of use, I noticed a general swelling of the body and an increase in weight. Is it possible that after such a time there were some undesirable effects?

Yes, it is possible. The risk of the appearance of side effects increases with the duration of therapy. Therefore, it is possible that the symptoms that you have not observed before have appeared only now. Observed side effects should be reported to the doctor, which we write about here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane I attach links to helpful threads: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/76440/sidretella-czy-przyjmowac-oslone-na-zatrzymywanie-wody-podczas-stosowania-tab https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/44699/vines-czy-podczas-stosowania-leku-vines-moze-wystapic-zatrzymanie-wody-w-organi
