By @Basia 1020: You can make changes from Microgynon 21 tablets to a Polaring disc on any day of tablet use or after a 7-day placebo break. The interval between the last active tablet and the application of the disc should not last more than 7 days - then the protection will be preserved.

The course of action will depend on what contraceptive pills you have used so far. If the change concerns the transition to a disc from one-component tablets (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/tabletki-antykoncepcyjne-jednoskladnikowe) - the disc can be applied on any day. Since protection may be reduced, an additional form of contraception in the form of a condom should be used. If you change two-component tablets to a disc (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/tabletki-antykoncepcyjne-dwuskladnikowe) - the change can be made, for example, after you finish taking active tablets or after a 7-day break for bleeding - that is, when you would start a new pack of tablets. Then contraceptive protection will be preserved and there is no need for an additional form of contraception in the form of a condom.
