The "tablet after" Escapelle, in order to prevent pregnancy, should be used up to 72 hours after sexual intercourse. The active substance of this preparation is levonorgestrel. It inhibits the release of the egg by the ovaries, delaying ovulation, and also prevents the fertilization of the already released egg.
