Heavy bleeding at the beginning of the use of contraceptive pills - what to do?

Hello, I am taking the first pack of Drovelis from 14.03.2022 to the present day. Is it normal that I have an abundant and endless period from the beginning of the use of tablets? I would like to add that before using the pills for the last 3 months, my periods were long (lasting 12 days) and abundant. The doctor prescribed me this drug because of the ovarian cyst. Please reply.

At the beginning of the use of contraceptive pills, many women experience bleeding disorders such as irregular or prolonged bleeding. The body needs time to "adapt" to hormonal changes occurring under the influence of hormones contained in contraceptive pills - this period, usually lasting up to 3 months, is called the so-called "adaptation period". These types of symptoms can therefore happen. However, if heavy bleeding lasts more than 2 weeks, you should seek medical advice. He may recommend the use of medicines to stop bleeding to prevent the consequences of blood loss, such as anemia. I started on 9.03, after 10 days the period ended but all the time I stain and there are also 'splashes'. I got Drovelis to adjust the cycle and heavy menstruation. My gin. he told me not to expect a miracle from the first package but I am already afraid of the next cycles.
