The use of 2 contraceptive discs at the same time - what is the danger?

Due to a lot of stress in the last time I completely forgot to take out nuvaRingu after 3 weeks, I bought a new disc and put it in after 7 days (in which normally there should be this break in use), but I still did not remove the previous disc.. So I wore two discs at once for a week, and when I realized it, I took out the old disc and put the new one back in. Am I afraid if it could have affected anything? Theoretically, the old disc just didn't work anymore, and the new one should be all right?

I pull out the disc every day for a few moments to wash it under running water, thanks to which it maintains hygiene and I do not forget to completely pull it out on time.

Do not use 2 discs at the same time. However, on the basis of the information contained in the content of the question, it can be concluded that the contraceptive effectiveness has been maintained throughout the period, despite the use of the disc in a manner inconsistent with the manufacturer's recommendations. The amount of hormones contained in the NuvaRing disc is sufficient to ensure effective contraception for 4 weeks. So you could use the "old" disc for another week and only then take a week's break for withdrawal bleeding. In a situation where you used 2 discs for a week, the amount of hormones released was higher, which could increase the likelihood of side effects, but did not reduce the effectiveness of contraception.
