Despite some information (which, however, seems limited and ambiguous) that the preparation may be less effective in patients with increased body weight and high BMI, there are no recommendations for dose adjustment in this case. The patient should take one tablet as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse - and it is time, not weight, that is a very important factor affecting the effectiveness of the tablet. The exception when you should take another tablet is vomiting within 3 hours after taking EllaOne.
