Hello. I have a question about Ellaone. On February 5, I had sex with my partner and unfortunately he ended up inside. It was the 11th day of the cycle. I took the Ellaone tablet on February 7 until noon. Is it possible to get pregnant and feel symptoms after 10 days of intercourse? From the morning I feel very bad, drowsy, I feel unwell and feel tension around the bottom of my stomach.

EllaOne is an effective method of preventing pregnancy in emergency situations, but it is not a 100% sure method. The percentage of pregnancies despite the use of emergency contraception is approximately 2% (2 out of 100 women will become pregnant). This is due, among other things, to the fact that ulipristal acetate (the active ingredient of EllaOne) inhibits or delays ovulation, but in the event that ovulation has already occurred - it is not effective. After only 10 days after intercourse, the feeling of "pregnancy" ailments is unlikely. Malaise is subjective, it can have another cause or be a side effect of the tablet. The absence of pregnancy will be evidenced by the occurrence of menstrual bleeding and a negative result of the pregnancy test (if you want to do it - I suggest about 14 days after intercourse).
