Good morning, I take Vibin birth control pills and keep them at home in a cupboard. Unfortunately, my boyfriend did not close the window as he left and it was ajar for about 8 hours. For fear that the tablets lost their effectiveness, I bought a second blister. Can I put a new blister in that old box of pills that was in the room at the time? Is this box no longer suitable for storage?

To @Ola: Even then. There would have to be a long-term negative temperature in the room and objects, including drugs in the drawer, would have to freeze.
Even if the temperature outside was negative and the window was open for up to 8 hours? The room was cold.

For @Ola: It all depends on the type of tablets. In the case of storage in a car in the cold, there is actually a risk of freezing them. At home there is no such possibility.
I understand, but I panicked because it's the 9th floor and it's January and it was very cold outside and the room was also cool. I read on your website that leaving tablets, e.g. in a car, can already reduce their effectiveness due to low temperature.

The box is still suitable for storing blisters. A slight decrease in temperature did not affect the blister that you stored in the drawer, they can be further used. Please note that the manufacturer does not specify the minimum temperature at which Vibin tablets can be stored. It is important that the temperature does not exceed 30°C and that the tablets are not frozen. Lowering the temperature in the room does not affect their effectiveness.
