After taking EllaOne, menstrual bleeding may occur a few days earlier or later than expected. In about 7% of women, menstrual bleeding occurred more than 7 days earlier than expected. About 18.5% of women had a delay in menstrual bleeding of more than 7 days, and in 4% of women, the delay was more than 20 days. If you have recognized heavy bleeding as menstruation (perhaps on the basis of a "calendar" - it is difficult for me to assess it on the basis of your entry), then another period will not appear in a moment. At the same time, the observed spotting and bleeding may have the character of an adverse reaction after EllaOne and be intermenstrual (midcyclic) bleeding. Then the right period should occur at the right time, although - as I wrote above - shifts caused by taking the drug are possible. When used correctly, EllaOne is effective, but this effectiveness is not 100%.
